ORIGIN OF THE COMMUNITY :
MEDICAL SERVICES :
The Mission was started on 15th July 1925. Medical care to the poorest was the main thrust. It began as a small dispensary in a thatched shed to give Medical care to the people. A Maternity ward was built in 1971 with 12 beds. A full time resident Doctor was made available since 1978 onwards.

EDUCATION EXTENDED TO THE POOR :

Sisters were working in the Diocesan School from 1934 to 1960.We began our own School on 1st June in 1960 with 10 children in the convent Campus. As years rolled on the school marched on a victorious path, the strength increasing to 1000 and above. In 1981 the nursery school was housed in a separate building.
