THE MISSION OF THE COMMUNITY :

To involve in the welfare programme like Mother and Child Health care to the poor women and the children.
To engage in the Parish activities.
To provide medical help to the pilgrims as well as to the surrounding villages.
Guidance and Counseling to the mentally ill patients.

ORIGIN OF THE COMMUNITY :

Irudaya Illam Convent at Puliampatti in the Diocese of Palayamkottai was founded in 1975.
From its inception sisters were fully immersed in the socio-pastoral activities.
A small dispensary was built. A well-equipped laboratory has been added to the Dispensary and now functioning as a recognized health centre.
Shrine of St.Antony at Puliampatti is well known for its miraculous healing of both the possessed and mentally ill. The sisters and the diocesan representatives realized the need to have a counseling centre in this mission. The centre was opened in the year 2013 by the diocese of Palayamkottai.
