The Millennium 2000 has made a remarkable progress in which the province had flourished with 43 missions with more than 350 sisters. A close study of our General Chapter 2003 paved a way for the bifurcation of the Tamil Nadu province into two Provinces. Sr.Mary Vianney, the then Provincial of Tamil Nadu took an initiative to finalise the bifurcation of the province into Thanjavur and Salem. April 2nd 2005 was a golden day for the official bifurcation to be declared by Sr.Jane Scaria, the Superior General announcing Sr.Jeya Mary as the first Provincial of the new Province of Salem. Her memorable installation was on 3rd April 2005.
